The LED lens viewfinder operates as a filter that shows reflection or a bright dot in your room, which indicates where the camera lens is located inside the room. The VIM-DETECT8 illuminates a red beam where the hidden camera lens reflects that light to the viewfinder. Slowly scan the room and find a bright red spot using the red viewfinder.
Infrared Night Vision Lens Detector
The spy camera detector also accurately detects hidden 940nm night vision cameras that operate in the dark. This model has day and night compatibility. The LCD screen is specially designed for you to scan during the night as the actual viewfinder cannot provide a visual indication in the dark, but the LCD screen provides a full glimpse of the room and the night vision LED reflection.
