Wildlife and Game Trail Monitoring

2. Does it need WiFi?
No. Uses a 4G SIM card on the mobile network – Telstra, Optus, Vodafone, or any Australian MVNO like Boost, Aldi Mobile, or Belong. Works anywhere with phone reception.
3. How long does the solar panel keep it running?
In normal conditions with a few hours of daylight, the panel keeps the battery topped up indefinitely. During extended overcast weather or short winter days, the built-in battery carries it through. Motion-triggered recording extends battery life significantly compared to continuous live streaming.
4. Will animals trigger false alerts all night?
The PIR sensor triggers recording for any movement – that's how you capture wildlife footage. But the AI human detection layer only sends push alerts to your phone when a person is detected. Animals record silently without waking you up.
5. Can I see the camera at night?
The camera has two night modes. Colour night vision uses white LEDs – visible, but produces full-colour footage. IR mode uses 850nm infrared – produces a faint red glow that's visible at close range in complete darkness. Neither mode is fully invisible. For the least visible option, use IR mode.
6. What's the zoom range in real-world terms?
At 20X optical zoom, you can read a vehicle number plate from roughly 50 metres or identify a person's face from across a standard paddock clearing. Optical zoom maintains image clarity – it's real glass, not digital cropping that degrades the picture.
