The camera is continuously processing video in a temporary loop. When you hit record, it takes the last 10 seconds of that loop and saves it to the memory card along with your new recording. This ensures you catch the start of the incident.
2. Does it record while I swap batteries?
No, the device will power down when you remove the battery. However, the removable design allows you to swap in a fresh battery and power back up in seconds, rather than waiting hours for a recharge.
3. Do I need WiFi to record?
No. The camera records directly to the SD card (not included) independently. The WiFi is only used if you want to connect to your phone to view footage or change settings wirelessly.
4. Is the night vision automatic?
Yes. You can set the Infrared (IR) LEDs to "Auto," and they will switch on when the environment gets dark. You can also toggle them manually if you prefer.
5. Can I use this for long shifts?
Yes. The kit comes with two batteries and a charging dock. Since the batteries are removable, you can rotate them—using one while the other charges—for potentially unlimited operation time.
