The VIM-POWSW2 is a wall-outlet-powered adapter camera for unobtrusive indoor monitoring. It records in 1080p and supports motion-activated capture, so it’s ready to document activity without battery swaps or external wiring.
The enclosure is styled like a standard power adapter to blend into common rooms and office spaces. Setup is as simple as plugging into a suitable outlet and positioning with a clear view of the room so the 90° lens can cover entrances, desks, or shared areas effectively.
Footage is saved to a microSD card and encoded in H.264 (ASF) for efficient storage and smooth playback on Windows or macOS. Motion detection focuses storage on relevant events and reduces idle footage, making review faster and more practical.
Typical uses include monitoring a reception area, documenting access to storerooms, or checking a living space while you are away. For best results, avoid direct glare from windows and reflective surfaces, and place the unit at waist-to-chest height to improve scene coverage.
